Jesus
Jn.3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
How to become a Christian?
Rom.10: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Our Sins
Christians are sinners. Everybody does things that offend God and hurt others. We know this in our conscience. We feel this in our guilt and shame. How can we be reconciled to God before we die?
Christians do not believe that a person gets to heaven by doing good things. Christians do not believe a person gets to heaven by paying God back for their wrongdoing. The Bible says people can only be reconciled to God by believing in Jesus and asking God for forgiveness.
God is good and He graciously forgives anyone who apologizes to Him for their wrongdoing. God is able to forgive us because Jesus took the punishment for our sins. Jesus did the time for our crime – on the cross. In gratitude to Jesus saving us and God for forgiving us Christians strive to honour God by obeying the Bible. But none of us do it perfectly. We are forgiven sinners.
What We Believe
Rev.4:11 You are worthy, our LORD and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
We believe God is the loving ruler of the world. He made the world and he made humans to look after the world in accordance with His instructions.
Rom.3:10-12 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away.
But sadly, we all reject the Ruler God and we try to run life our own way without Him. We make ourselves king. But we fail to rule ourselves or society or the world.
Heb.9:27 people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.
However, God won’t let us rebel against Him forever. God’s punishment for rebellion is death and final judgment.
1Pet.3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
But because of His love for us, God sent His Son into the world: the man Jesus Christ. Jesus always lived under God’s rule. So, by dying in our place on the cross he took our punishment for us and brought us forgiveness.
1Pet.1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
But that’s not all
God raised Jesus to life again as the new ruler of the world. This means Jesus has conquered death, now gives new life and will return to judge the world.
So there are now two ways to live:
1) OUR WAY:
Reject the Ruler – God
Try to run life our own way
RESULT?
Condemned by God
Facing death and judgment
2) GOD’S NEW WAY:
Submit to Jesus as our Ruler
Rely on Jesus’ death & resurrection
RESULT?
Forgiven by God
Receive eternal life

Prayer of Salvation
If God has done something good for you in Jesus, it’s appropriate to say thank you. If you have done things to offend God, it’s appropriate to say sorry. If God is more powerful than you and cares about you, it’s appropriate to ask Him for help.
The following prayer of faith is how people are reconciled to God and become Christians. But the prayer must be prayed sincerely believing Jesus died for you and that God is willing to forgive you.

I sincerely ask you to forgive me all the things I have done wrong.
Thank you for sending Jesus to die for me.
I truly believe he died to take the punishment for my wrongdoing.
Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit.
Please give me everlasting life.
